Streets: A Rock Opera is Savatage's sixth studio album and is a rock opera dealing with the rise and fall of fictional musician DT Jesus, a drug dealer who rises as a rock star and becomes an addict himself.
The years around 1990 were certainly the most important for the band, years in which Savatage began to break away from the rather conventional and dry metal of the early days and set out for more complex and emotional shores, the result of an absolutely personal way of understanding music. "Streets" is a perfect album, stirring and haunting, characterized by a unique songwriting that you can breathe to the fullest in the sixteen tracks of this album.
