In 2021 earMUSIC pays tribute to the band Savatage with a new vinyl reissue series and reissues all albums of the metal icons from 1983 to 2001 on vinyl. After The Dungeons are Calling and Sirens, it's Power of the Night's turn. On this third studio album the band plays pure heavy metal! Originally released in 1985, "Power Of The Night" was produced by Max Norman (Ozzy Osbourne's "Blizzard of Ozz", Megadeth's "Countdown To Extinction") and last album with bassist Keith Collins, later replaced by Johnny Lee Middleton in 1986. Mastered for vinyl and featuring the exclusive demo version "No More Saturday Nights",
Savatage's third studio album has been re-released with the original cover design, enhanced artwork and extended liner notes by Clay Marshall. Vinylplace.eu supplies the very limited "crystal clear" vinyl which comes in an exclusive Pop-Up Gatefold packaging.
“I have many fond memories of recording this album,” says Jon Oliva. “It was our major label debut and our first work outside of Florida. (...) Power of the Night was a very important album for us.”
