A boa constrictor of sliding, warping, interdimensional cosmic horror, the sixth full-length album Muuntautuja is in a world of its own, oozing through the speakers like irradiated sand. Constantly transforming, unsettling chords that give you goosebumps and then bash your head in with sickening rhythms that both transport and destroy you.
Inspired by eclectic sources like Death Grips, Portishead, Nine Inch Nails (Downward Spiral era), Beherit and My Bloody Valentine, ORANSSI PAZUZU is a feast for fans of deep, heavy and strange music. With an inhuman and organic sound, Muuntautuja is electronically charged, both organic and inorganic in origin.
Guitarist Ikon explains:
"Our experimentation with samplers and electronics led us to the strange concept of making nightmarish rave music. We were trying to find an interface between danceable rhythms and oppressive waves of noise and distortion."
Muuntautuja transcends genres and embodies a transcendent experience that smears listeners in its nightmare of space and metamorphosis. Jun-His (vocals & guitars) muses, "For us, this album is like a sculpture of black electric slime."
