"Daemon", the 6th studio album from the Norwegians, is on its own again. It is not the next chapter, it is the next book in Mayhem's respectable oeuvre. It was composed and recorded with the same line-up as "Esoteric Warfare" (2014) - Necrobutcher (bass), Hellhammer (drums), Attila Csihar (vocals), Teloch (guitar) and Ghul (guitar).
"Deamon" is by no means a return to old brilliant times such as "Freezing Moon", "Pagan Fears" or "Buried by Time and Dust", because the live album "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive" (2016) already did that. On the contrary, "Daemon" is another opportunity for change, a new hell to explore!
