Reissue of this legendary Aske EP - from the Norwegian black metal solo project Burzum! Aske (Norwegian for ash) was recorded in April and August 1992 and originally released in March 1993.
Count Grishnack's "early black metal" defines some of the genre's hallmarks, albeit simple and often suffocatingly wild with eerily distorted cries that garble any message except the mood: sadness. The music evokes a dark and emotional despair that is repressed fear in human existence.
